I worked in North Texas newspapers for two decades, covering local and international news, first as a photographer, then as a writer. Journalism taught me to be prepared to hit the ground running no matter what the assignment. I'm based in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and I still have a passion for documentary-style work because it captures moments that tell a story. From 2017 through 2024, I worked as a visual storyteller for FirstNet, Built with AT&T, America’s public safety network, doing video pre-production, directing and interviewing on location, and scripting stories from transcripts. Whether with words, images, or a mix of both, my passion remains storytelling. Storytelling can inform, persuade, change, and save lives.
